Meet THE JAR!
When it comes to flying, crashing is inevitable. With pushing yourself and your gears limit comes broken parts. I didn't want to throw it all out, because you never know when something will become useful.
Have you ever had a broken tool or car part or anything laying around for years and not being needed, but when you throw it out a month later it could have been useful? Whatever the reason might be: testing something or a smaller part inside that can be reused, or just a part number.
Same thing goes for drones, for example, you bend a bell the stator is still fine, so is the propeller nut and all the little hardware on the inside (washers, spacers, screw holding the bell on). if your are flying often enough these small bits become useful, but stripping everything off, separating and storing it doesnt work, you will just loose it.
Here come the genius of a THE JAR. You take an old glass jar and start putting in your broken parts, it looks nice and aesthetic on the table and all your useful junk is there if you ever need it :D Another benefit is that you will be a little less upset when you brake the next part, because know you can add to the jar :P
What do you do with your broken drone parts?
Looking forward to hearing your comments and suggestions!
AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..

You can fit all your broken parts in a jar? I've already filled two shoeboxes just in trashed parts
I only started to collect the broken parts not so long ago, there were many thrown out, some broken parts are on my old self designed 3d printed frames. Some broken parts are lost in the field together with the whole quadcopter.
Oof I feel you. My favorite ever build is in a forest somewhere
