About a month ago I had my first Source One build just how I wanted it. Then I was exploring over some hills about a mile out and my video started to fade. I started a wide smooth turn to start heading back and suddenly I lost video completly. I hit the gps rescue switch but it failed and when I went to look at the dvr footage the file was corrupted so I was out of luck. I took several hikes to try to find it but had no luck.
So here is take two. I was really happy with the frame so I ordered another Pyrodrone 7" Source One frame and ordered the same Brother Hobby Avenger 2810 1090kv motors. On the original build I used the RunCam Phoenix 2 Bardwell edition camera but I went with the new RunCam Micro Eagle 3 this time around. I wanted to run the TBS Unifly Pro HV but they were out of stock so I got a FXT Ares 1W VTX for now.
The one area that I wasn't really happy with on the old build was the FC. I used the GEPRC Span F722 stack and it flew fine but I had a few small issues. I could never get the barometer to work and a few other minor gripes. So on the new build I decided to try the new HGLRC Zeus stack. It is a F722 dual gyro FC with a barometer and a 60 amp Blheli32 esc. I have only been able to fly a couple packs so far but the Zeus stack is working flawlessly.
I finished this build off the same way I did my first one, 3d printed frame acessory kit from Brain3d, kwad skids from Kwad3d and of course the TBS nano reciever and Ummagrip.
I have only a few short flights so far but look forward to getting back to exploring with my new build.
AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
