I built a Dave C Design Micro Long Range with HGLRC 16x16mm stack, Flywoo 1404 /Caddx Vista quite a while ago but i got bored with it prety quickly. No interesting backyard to try long range cruising and dead cat design was not my thing so i sold the frame recently and got the Chimera X geometry frame to try another build.
My original intention was to use some Betafpv 1505 motors recycled from another quad for a freestyle build but i found out belatedly the Chimera 4 frame only take 9mmx9mm motor mounts. Duh. Pretty annoyed but i bit the bullet and bought some IFlight Xing 1404 3800kv to complete it.
Pretty straight forward build with plenty of room using some reused Mamba F405 mini mk2 /Caddx Vista. No GPS as i don't plan any long range at the moment.
Just snuck in under 250g with 650mah 4s.
I maidened it yesterday at my local park and to my relief it could pull off some acro moves. So now i have a more versatile park cruiser / light acro "Micro LR". Sweet.
