My attempt at building a lighter weight freestyle quad with a full size DJI air unit. My source one quad with a Hero9 is just too heavy at nearly 840grams (this is running the Gopro off the 6S). I wanted an second quad just for flying fun with no gopro weight. Final weight with the custom TPU air unit mounts is 620 grams (18 grams of TPU). Unfortunately, the Glide frame does not accomdate an air unit as designed,s o I had to make some modifications to the frame and design new TPU parts to make it work how I wanted. I used an iflight 20x20 stack and drilled new mounting holes farther forward so I could mount the air unit in the back. The air unit mount is designed to use the stock antennas and are captured inplace byt the standoffs so they cannot disconnect in flight.

If anyone wants the stl files let me know. I can also design a Gopro9 mount or pretty much anything for this frame.

It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
