The one that keeps on keeping on.
Probably the crappiest pic of components and cheap parts but i keep reaching for it when i just want to thrash.
But it refuses to die
The 3 wat 5 - 20v led lights make for some interesting night flying . Will post a vid soon .
Build tip ,Locktite everything , ADD a big CAP

Outstanding, and absolutely terrifying! You must essentially be flying from memory around the homestead there. That you didn't end up parked in a tree is impressive, and almost entirely unexpected. Splendid stuff!

I have RC aircraft like this, the good old beaters that keep on ticking and are zero-stress to fly! :)

Hey, please share links to those LEDs - they sound perfect for dusk flying.

kwadkenstine   Dec 16, 2020

Hi , I bought them years ago for lighting up a camper. Off ebay I think,

I had those headlights in my very first FPV quad - an Eachine Racer 250. They are really rather bright, although I didn't try flying at night. In those days I could barely fly in the daytime (some may say that's still the case). I'll be keeping an eye YT, this I would like to see!

Hi , I have the leds you speak of , but those are not they, i looked at using the eachine ones but i had these which are bigger and brighter , Sooo,
I will post a night flight but i will be breaking rules unless i can find a big undercover area, So the world may never see, BUT i might CARRY IT arround the yard to show the effect .
Cheers

Where do you live that flying at night is illegal?

kwadkenstine   Dec 16, 2020

Hi In Australia , Its not really illegal but it is a breach of the official guidelines , as far as i can tell , our authorities reserve the right to fine us in civil court if we make a nuisance of ourselves, To my current understanding , they are only guidelines.

AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
