AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

I think you hit the sweet spot with motors, frame and lipo combo. I I like the S3 or P3 props better with this configuration. Also, I started out witih the DJI controller but switched to Crossfire on a TX16S. As much as I love the DJI remote's simplicility, the range and peace of mind not faiilsafing is completely worth it.
i use the S4 props and have the S3 ready to try. i like the simplicity of the dji controler too but i dont like it to use.... im thinking of going crossfire too... is it easy to change too?
Crossfire isn't easy to set up at first, its a it of a learning curve. But after you get it down initially, its easy. I wouldn't go back after seeing how great the signal is compared to DJI remote's. Don't get me wrong, the DJI remote is a good beginner remote, but I've had too many failsafes and broken quads bc of it.
