This is my Gecko 3 build. In this build I decided to try out the Sharkbyte Digital FPV system and see how it works out. I had to put the VTX in sideways because there wasn't enough room to put it in any other way. It flys pretty well but different from my regualr 5 inch drones. The only issue I currently have with this build is the OSD not showing up, after spending 2 days researching and trying to get it to work. I have another Sharkbyte VTX I plan to put in a Gecho 4 inch, so can see if it's just me or if the VTX is defective. I'll put up video later, once I get that all figured out. But for the most part, I'm pretty happy with this build. It is faster then I had expected, which is pretty nice.
I ended up creating a lot of the TPU parts that went into this myself, in Neon Magenta, because I didn't see anything on Thingiverse I liked.

Maiden Flight
AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..

I really dig the way you attached the motor wire protector and the landing skid with the same zip-tie.
I hope that vTx is cool!!!!!!
Thanks for the comment. Yes the zip ties makes changing the prop protector and feet easy to change. The VTX picture is pretty amazing, but I hope to get the OSD working eventually. Also still no live audio.
So i've been flying for 5 years at this point. I can say, with confidence, that if you are not using that audio for in flight diagnostics, or post flight diagnostics of the quad itself, the audio is of no real use. It's just an annoying high pitch whine. I like it when i'm flying, but i'm aware that it is a nusance to other people. NO ONE wants to hear your prop noise in your video, unless something goes wrong. You can turn it down to 1-3% volume in your flight vids, and other pilots will appreciate hearing your motors work in time with your stunts, but the truth is: even then it IS annoying after a preeeeeety short amount of time
Yes, I understand there are people who don't need or like the sound coming from the VTX. I'm not one of those people. I use the sound as part of flying so I can hear the ambience around my quad as well as the health of the motors and battery. I had an experience last summer when while talking to a friend, I neglected to fully tighten a prop. It was tight enough to get off the ground, but as I got down the field, I started hearing a slipping sound and realized one of the props was loose. Had it not for the mic, it could have been a horrible crash. But without a mic, I feel like I'm playing a video game on mute, which I'd never do. But this is just my preference. I'd prefer to be fully immersed, but I understand others do not. :-)
