Bit late to posting this one as this is a build from a few months ago. I'd wanted to build a Cinewhoop for some time but also, at that point, wanted to go with something smaller than a Shendrones Squirt. Then I saw Airblade UAV's Honeypot frame and fell in love - I really like the design!

I went with the 2.5" version of the frame which 'only' supports whoop-style AIO boards. I put only in inverted commas mainly because if you're going with the 2.5" version you're likely doing so to get under 250g so you'd likely use a whoop-style AIO board anyway. As a side note, I believe that AirBlade UAV no-longer sells the 2.5" frame/version.

I used the GEPRC 20A AIO board which I've used in a few other builds and haven't had any issues with (knock on wood). I used a TBS Crossfire Nano receiver and my favourite micro VTX, the RUSH Tiny Tank.

For the motors, I used Airblade UAV's Superman 1404 4850kV motors. I used these motors in a previous micro build and really enjoyed them but I'll probably switch them out here - I found there was too much vibration and my feeble attempts to tune the quad weren't helpful. I'm sure someone more knowledgeable than me (which is most of you guys) would be able to get this guy flying smoothly but my attempts at adjusting PIDs just led to shaky flights and hot motors.

Fortunately, with Reel Steady GO on my Naked/De-cased Hero 7 and Flow-State Stabilization on the Insta360 GO you don't really notice it in the recorded footage (especially with the former), however on the FPV camera it's jello-city!

Nice Build. Great video! Has a lot of power - I have to try this motor/prop combination. Did you manage to get rid of the vibs? Might be the props - I've red that the iFlight 2525 (Nazgul Cine 2525) are pretty good.... BG

AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
