EDIT: A year later and more tweaks. I am using a GoPro Hero 11 now, hefty thing but beautiful video. I was originally running emuflight and changed to betaflight due to more GPS rescue related options and I started pushing long range more. The furthest I've gone with this thing currently is 7km, max altitude 2.4km (in the mountains). I've got two 21700 4200mah P42A homemade 6s packs that I run in parallel (it's hefty at 1.7 kilograms). I get easily 20 min of flight time out of that with the hero 11 and some serious altitude gain, speeds are averaging at 70 kph most flights. I've hit 150kph on multiple occasions.
Here is some more recent flight footage with the hero 11:
Perfect for propless superview video and long range. With temps currently -10 celcius and below, flight times are a very comfortable and COLD 8 minutes (2600mah 6s lipo stabilizing at 3.7 volts per cell post flight) while covering 8.8 km in that same flight. Running the 1500kv variant of the ECO ii 2807 allows for cruising speeds of 100km/h at half throttle (data straight from flight logs). The GPS, immortal T, session 5 (now hero 7 black with tbs nd filters), and fpv camera mount are customized. In 5 celsius weather I pulled 10 minute flight time, 10 km flown with the battery at 3.68 per cell upon landing. Also combined the mount for the sma and immortal-t antennas and slammed the fuselage on 25mm standoffs instead of the 35mm that it came with. I extended the antenna mount so this thing can take 140mm long batteries and have a lower CG. Farthest Ive taken it out so far was 3.1km on 500mw vtx output power and could have gone farther.
Flight footage! (from session 5)
EDIT:
Older parts being used:
Other gear:
Dry weight: 572g (UPDATED with hero 7 mount and shorter standoffs: 578g)
AUW with Session 5: 1,034g
Updated AUW: 1,072 g
AUW with Hero 11 and two 4200mah Liion batteries: 1,700g lol
AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..

Sorry for not getting back sooner! The motors are either 18mm or 19mm. The bolts sit about in the middle of the slots on the frame.
