A tomo frame with a cut-up beta 75 frame for prop guards... and a sharpie.
This is made from some resuscitated parts. The more builds I do, the more I learn how to troubleshoot :) The vtx i thought was trash but after troubleshooting I cleaned it up, added a capacitor and its functional again. I depinned the FC and direct soldered the motors.. not much space but enough. I am using a vtx toothpick adapter, but only as a shelf to hold the vtx. The rx is between the shelf and the fc. Everything has breathing room on this one.
I drilled out one of the props too much so that one has to be t bolted in. The other three are press fit. The tops are chewed up from running them in a pusher config and removing them with a prop tool.

getting less than 2 min on 2s mostly cruising.
I tried a 3s but with this tiny strap I was not inclined to whip it around. Got around the same flight time.
Im thinking there might be an issue with a motor.

I love the cut up prop guards! I have a set 65mm somewhere but the hard part was finding those weird ass motor screws the right length to work with carbon and plastic.

it's the same length as the screws that hold Gemfan props on :)

AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
