This is my first 5" build. I only started in this hobby during a "quiet" project period in Lockdown last year (2020). I love fpv.
Beginning with a iFlight Chimera 4, Mobula 6 HD, Diatone Hey Tina!, Moblite 7, iFlight Protek25 and now planning my 3" Toothpick build a la KababFPV. I've totally caught the bug and just planning build after build... n+1 builds being the maximum total required.
This was the first attempt at a robust, lob it anywhere, learn to freestyle build... Velocidrone is good to pick up the concept; this build is perfect to start the learning process in reality!
Went with AMax motors (solid, well built little beasts, 2400Kv), TBS Source One V3 frame as it's a beast, Diatone Mamba FC and ESC and the Caddx Vista to port my fpv feed into my eyeballs via my DJI Goggles.

AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..

Excellent clean looking build! I wish mine still looked as clean. I would be interested to get your thoughts on the F722 I’m looking at it for an upcoming build. Eco motors are some of the best especially if they give you the confidence to crash.
I love the F722. Super sensible layout, with a great interface on your phone for in-field BetaFlight tweaking / BB clearing. :)
Definitely gives me the confidence to crash... :D
