With the 1.5mm thick v2 version, I just squeak in under 100g. While more flimsy than I'd like, it's still stiffer than the printed version so I'm happy with it.
Still needs some tuning, should get a flight DVR up soon.
~~Waiting on v2 of my remix of Dave_C_FPV's NanoLongRange to be delivered before finishing up.
I'm aiming for as close to 100g as I can get.
With v1 of the frame, I'm at about 109g with the battery.
Hey, Very nice build!! I was curious where the link to the carbon frame leads to? The link doesn't work when I click on it. Oddly, it just jumps me to the next open tab in my window, instead of to the link. I would love to order it. Also, did you cure your PLA plus frame? If so, I was curious what temperature you cured it at, and for how long? I really appreciate it!!!
So the frame link goes to my Thingiverse (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4789027) item page where you can download the .dxf file needed to have the frame cut by any of the services out there that offer that. Dave_C's files are licensed under a non-commercial license and as a remix my files have the same license, so I'm not selling anything.
I did try to cure one of my PLA+ frames but it just warped. I tried to do it on the bed of my printer @ 80c with a bowl over it as I didn't think my oven would keep the temperature accurately at such a 'low' temp.
Been playing around with this build myself. Are you using pla? I going to give petg a whirl. I'm wondering if anyone is playing around with the printed carbon composite materials.
AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
