Really want to try out kiss again after vannover show and tell on rotor riot so bought the fettec mini AIO...without any research - turns out it's an F3! oh well...still trying it out.
I had it in the gecko 4" actually. Got a couple packs in to tune/test and then took it out to a bando and literally one pack in it was ruined by the concrete. So I decided I should built the kiss into something smaller so I would get more chances to fly it.
Ever since the Tarsier died on me, the CB3 has been shelved but it's such a classic frame, it was time to build it out again. I had to drill out whoop mount holes, rotated at 45 degrees (ideal for the fettec's odd lay out)
Then to mount the naked vista with whoop mount points you have to drill out the m1.5 (or is it m1.6) to m2 size which was easy enough.
Again a clean build without RX and antennas... came out to a great weight.
Still needs more tuning as I'm getting some vibes in mid throttle and a bit of wash out but I was finally able to get my rates down...it's starting to feel good.
Pack from a maiden session:
The nebula micro is quite annoying. The footage is straight from the camera without any adjustments except scaling up. this is eachine's version with 1.66mm lens but the lock ring was rubbing on the standoffs and the lens was too big so I found a caddx turbo eye v2 lens that I had as spare. fits perfectly. I really miss that extra bit of vertical FOV in a 4:3 though. I may strip down a vista camera for this...once I get some prints done...the original housing doesnt fit this frame at all...it's just to big.
having a long antenna really really makes a big difference! running 25mw and still getting pretty decent coverage compared to my other builds with the antenna buried in the back, behind the battery. I think I'm going to have to start being more creative in my builds to bring the antennas up and out more....it's worth it

Update 16 May 2021
Using HQ 3020 biblades now. Had a 3 pack tuning session, trying to get mid throttle (Load to No-Load and No-Load to Load transitions) flutter tuned out (unsuccessful)
Update 23 May 2021
this is a  moment. I read the manual. It says to update the FC firmware and also the ESC firmware before flying. I didn't.
I've updated it now, running stock pids and it is flying better than ever! Still needs a bit of D and TPA tuning but it's nearly there!
some gopro lite footage
swapped camera out to a polar with much better colour

AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
