Little 2.5 i built for my yard.
It turned out a lot sweeter then i thought it would hehe.
Generally run it on 3s for freestyle and 4s for racing.
Still cant decide on weather i like the apex 1303.6 5555kv or betafpv 1204 5000kv more. 1204's make it feel like a racer, super snappy and have insane grip in the corners, well Apex 1303.6's make it feel flowy af.
Get about 2-9mins of flight with both motors.

Frame is some random 3mm 9g armattan frame i picked up from a guy.

im running a phantom build about 80g and adding some tpu protection that will probably take it to 90g.. your flowy comment about the apex .. negative? did you mean floaty? as in too much lift?

my thinking is to go up to the 1303.6 to carry my weight and will give it more punch than my current 1202.5 flywoo (which i like the flight times)..

Apex motors are good in your opinion?

Hi.
Its probs to late to answer, but here goes anyway haha.
I dont think the 1303.6 are bad at all. by flowy i meann the drone feels a lot more smooth in the air and tends to flow a lot better for freestyle. Its a bit hard to explain but my expereince has for sure been positive.
In terms of speed, id say the 1204 beta fpv motors are for sure faster if youre trying to race, they seem to just have way more grip in the corners and also seem to sag the batt a bit less. In terms of punchout, apex 1303.6 have a little bit more... but its not much.
Basically, if youre trying to make a little race drone, id go for 1204, if youre going for more of a mini freestyle quad or more chill-oriented, id go 1303.6.

Fantastic. I'm not an experienced flier by any measure.. but I def. prefer less twitchy.. flow is good.
Thanks for the insight.

Nice build. Redoing a 2.5" and 2". Undecided between the two motor sizes you have listed. I mostly freestyle so battery life is everything. So many new motors and newbie me not sure where to start. btw where did you find that canopy?

AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
