This build is my first attempt to build a toothpick.
I took all the parts from Mobula 6 and put them on the BetaFPV HX100SE frame. Also, I have swapped the motors to 1102.
The first iteration of this build used BetaFPV 1102 KV18000 motors. They are way too fast for what I was trying to achieve.
I replaced FC with CrazyBee v2.0 FR when ESC on it died.
I've added TBS Unify 32 nano since CrazyBee 2.0 don't have VTX. At the same point,
I have replaced motors with EX1102 KV13500.
I have replaced the "wire" antenna with a coaxial linear antenna to improve the control link. I have heat-shrink it to zip tie to avoid chopping by the propellers.
I have tried three types of propellers.
Maybe I had to drill a bit the propeller in the bottom to hide the c-clip and this way the shafts wouldn't crack as much as they are now.
I had problems with the vibrations. I found that it was due to not tighten screws holding the FC. They are loosining over a time. Even if I use nylon lock nuts.
Currently I'm using the BetaFPV 18000KV 1102 motors. It seems they are holding preatty well. They are bit too fast for what I'm loooking. But they are not loosing the shaft. I plan to change them to BetaFPV 13500KV 1102.
Curently I have switched to Caddx Ant Lite camera. It have much better image compared to the Runcam nano 3.
I have also changed the canopy for the FEICHAO Camera Canopy for Mobula 6 HD. It's holding pretty well. And not flying gentle.
Whole drone without the battery weights 37g.
Nice build. You can try HQ T65 props with nylon prop screws to address some of your problems. The T65's rev up smoothly to high rpm's as long as you have the props balanced. The props screws should hopefully protect your motor shafts better in crashes. If you motors have c-clips on top of the bell, you can try drilling shallow counter-sunk holes on the bottom of the props to allow the props to sit flat all the way down on the shaft against the bell to improve strength. Thankfully my motors don't have c-clips on top of the bell so I didn't have to modify my T65's. Happy flying.
AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..

My favorite frame and canopy in 1S builds :) I built them on 0802 19000kV and 1102 10000kV motors. I also have the 2S 1102 6000 kV version.
Hi, yes it's a very nice frame. I think I'm frying too aggressive. I'm have broken 6 of them in the last 6 months. Now I will be rebuilding this quad to 3-inch props. I will build this on FONSTER Apro 125mm 3mm and RCINPOWER GTS V2 1202.5 11500KV motors. Very similar to GRI BabyTooth v2.
