I took a lot of inspiration from other builds (namely Wrong17 (https://rotorbuilds.com/profile/1922/)) but in summary - this is a slammed squirt which has a few custom parts remixed/designed by myself (links below).

A huge shout out to Shendrones and DroneCoProductions too - it's no secret the birthplace of this design rests it's hard work with them. There STLs can be found at the links below but you really should refer to their own websites to see the work they do http://www.shendrones.com/ & https://www.dronecoproductions.com/about.

The Maiden Flight

Notes (Will add more here in time) - The 1507 motors do mean the props sit a little too high. I went back to basics (the original Squirt duct) and went about making my own duct which would still slam the frame down to 25mm standoffs, better employ the ducts for a XX07 motor AND try and reduce the total amount of duct remove. I bring you - The Semi-Slammed Squirt!; this maintains an additional 5mm of duct whilst still using the awesome camera mount designed by DroneCO. Pics of design and later photo below (ignore the dust.......maiden flight was in some awesome bando). The STL for my Semi-Slammed is provided in the links below.

Maiden flight was 5 mins 30 secs with a GoPro8 fitted as pictured - 1300 mAh 4S battery. Pretty much default BF4.2.8 PIDs used and motors were cool to the touch upon landing. A small amount of prop wash on descent in areas - will work out how to rectify soon.

Custom Parts
Custom Immortal T Mount and remixed arm guards (these arm guards inset the nut by approx 2.5mm).

AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
