I am a DJI user now, so I've forgotten my analog Rooster for a while. I didn't really want to do the big modification in order to fit the digital system...I just didn't like the way that the air unit was placed at the rear of the copter in most of the mods I found online. Finally, I decided to accept the challenge, and I came up with some ideas about how to fit everything inside, and I'm really happy with the way I sorted it out. Just drilled some holes on the top plate and "hanged" the FC from there, also lifted up the top plate with some standoffs. The Air unit is also upside down in order to get the antennas in the right place. I used a very few 3D printed parts, all of them easy to find on Thingiverse (just a camera mount and a "generic" air unit tray)
I am really happy with the result!!!

Nice job, looks good. Do you happen to have a link to the camera mounts? I would like to print some. Thanks

Very nice, tidy conversion! The hanging stack is a nice touch. How's it flying?

It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
