This was my attempt at building a 85mm whoop with the nebula pro camera instead of the nebula nano to have something to fly indoors when the weather isn't great.

Dry weight is ~76g with the cf bottom plate.

If you use the cf bottom plate, you'll need m1.6x5mm screws. The ones that come with the motors are too short.

I liked the look of the beta85x 4k frame and canopy, but the canopy doesn't quite fit the vista, so I designed a similar canopy with more clearance that I printed in sainsmart tpu.

I used a minimortal t and ORT micro vee antenna to save some weight. You could probably just use a regular 5.8ghz linear dipole antenna.

For motors, I used the 1103 11000kv variant because I wanted to try it on 2s and 3s. I tried RDQ 2s 650mah lihv, and gnb 3s 520mah lihv. I like how it flies better on the 3s, even though it adds more weight. If you want to fly exclusively on 3s, the 8000kv variant of these motors would be better. On 3s, I put a throttle limit to prevent burning anything up.

Flight time was 2.5 - 3m

It's a bit heavy as expected. It flies OK indoors. It suffers from yaw washout outdoors if you try to do something like pull out from a big dive. But if you want something small and want a non-naked vista unit in it, this works for cruising around the house.

Overall, this build is very easy because the FC has DJI, rx, and motor plugs. The only soldering was on the rx, and putting the wire harness on the vista unit.

AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
