3inch Vista Freestyle

This is my 3" freestyle with a custom, self-designed frame.

I'm using the airbladeuav superman 1404 4850kv motors because I had these motors for a 2.5" build. This kv is a bit too high for this build, so I'm running a throttle limit. Ideally, you want ~4000kv on 4s.

The custom frame isn't a requirement for this build. Any 3" dual stack frame will work. I was previously using the iFlight Titan H3 frame, but it doesn't seem to be available anywhere anymore. I think a good frame weight is anywhere from 35-45g. This particular frame is ~40g with all the hardware and tpu parts.

Dry weight is ~148g. Could reduce the weight a bit with a whoop style AIO and using the nebula pro camera.

My intent with the frame was simplicity and component mounting flexibility. There is plenty of room between the stacks, and there are 3 mounting positions for the rear stack. It can easily fit the larger single board 20x20 AIOs, the whoop AIOs, or standard 20x20 stacks. The frame is also a true-x design, but I think I actually like the squashed x look better, so I'm working on some revisions to this design.

Flight time is 4.5 - 5m

AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
