This is my first custom build after 5 months into FPV. I wanted the original Banggod but the shipping fee was unfortunately too high hence i went with the one I found on Banggood. Learned quite a few things from this build:

  • if you rotate the FC direction (180 degree in my case), you still have to remap the motors orders in Betaflight
  • Jhemcu GHF420 is a good board but there is no official target name - you have to choose BETAFLIGHTF4 as the target when flashing firmware (remember to save the cli dump before flashing as you need to remap the resource subsequently)
  • it took me a while to figure out why the RxBt telemetry info is not available on my Crossfire Nano Rx - after flashing the firmware i have to manually select "Onboard ADC" for both battery and current sensor in Betaflight.
  • i learned how to design a few parts (arm guards, landing stands, bumper) in Fusion 360 - will share if anyone is interested

Love this 3" with the 1408 motors now as i think it fly better than my 5" :)

Good frame. I also once wanted to assemble a drone on this frame, but then I changed my mind. She's pretty heavy.

Nice
What's the weight without battery?

That's heavy, I wanted to build with this frame, but that's the reason I didn't.
Still looks awesome :)

AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
