I followed the build from Glloq (https://rotorbuilds.com/build/26267), but I went with a 4S version. This was my first time designing and 3d printing all of my parts for a kwad. I made a jig to drill the 20x20 holes easier too (check out the image below). All of my parts can be downloaded from https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4858128.

I used 3DKwadz's idea for holding Immortal-T antennas on the arm bumper. I came up with a different design to hold the antenna body though...the tadpole kinda limits the placements.

Note for Naked Vista:

  • Use a paper towel to remove large chunks of blue heatsink compound from the Caddx Vista. Use a tooth brush (made it soo much easier) and alcohol to remove the rest of the compound.
  • Make sure to insulate the LED light, pair button and the metal cloth (see image A1 below) or use larger spacers. If you don't, you will short out the Vista while flying...

You're welcome!

Have you considered using 4S batteries instead of 6S? You might get better performance.

Actually, you caught a mistake. I'm building a Gecko 6S and the battery was for that build....I even had the frame set as Gecko LoL. I corrected the frame and battery info. Thank you!

I'm currently using the Tattu 450mah 4S, but I just bought the Tattu R-Line 650mAh 95C 4S1P. I'm hoping it will give me just a little more flight time.

Did you already test the 650mah 4s? Thinking about using the same motors in my build. Would you rather go for the 3800kv?

If you go with these motors, get the newer version iFlight Xing2 1404. The 650mah are great, they give me more flight time. I switched the blades from Gemfan 3016 to HQProp 3x3x3. The HQProps gave me just a little more thrust to make the kwad feel more balanced. I think going with 3800kv wouldn't be a bad idea, you may get a little more flight time.

AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
