My main goal was to create a highly compact 2" quad that is able to support a split style HD camera while staying light enough to achieve reasonable flight times yet offer extended range compared to regular AIO builds. The frame is inspired by the TKS Race frame, with slightly more prop clearance and rotated motor mounts for cleaner cable management.
Update 2021-06-22: The NamelessRC nano400 VTx I initially used suffered from low range and mediocre signal quality at 100m out. Same with a spare I still had lying around. Too bad the build quality / QC seems to have suffered since the initial release of the nano400.
So I updated the VTx to a TBS Unify Pro32 Nano which now provides outstanding signal and range. This is on 25mW. In hindsight the regular TBS Unify Nano with 25/50mW would have been fine power wise and a few € cheaper.
AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
