Phantom / Tadpole HD 2.5 inch

Converted the Phantom HD to Armattan Tadpole frame (with modification) after breaking the Phantom frame twice. Managed to get 111g after decasing the Caddx Vista.

However as I was looking for more torque, I decided to switch to 1206 4500kv from the original 1105 5000kv motors. After changing the motors and replacing with lighter straps and receiver antenna, the dry weight is 111g. From the preliminary test flight this evening, there is definitely much more punch but at the slight expense of flight time (approx 30 seconds lesser on 4s 450mah). Looking to tune the filters and PID loop to optimize the performance.

Looks good!!
Undecided between the Tadpole and Phantom frames for a 2.5" build (or something better if it exists). Analog for now and maybe HDZero when available in low weight options.
Having used both frames, which one is better or do you prefer?

Ooh, that is super cool!!! If you want to try another cool hd capable top mounted battery toothpick frame, the Fettec FG1 is a wicked little frame. This is a super cool build though, I really dig that cam mount!
