This is a Armattan 6 inch frame with some of the concepts from the Deep6 build. I got their waterproof kit, but did not want to use the frame. I made a 3d printed tub that holds most of the main components and then coated everything.. GPS, TBS, brain H8 FC with the PDB they make. Full disclosure, I have not yet dunked this in water.. because of the draught... But she fly good, minus the folding props.. Those need to go.

AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..

This is a cool project. I dig your prints (and that you showed your progression a lil, thanks!!). I Think you have chosen really nice hardware, and planned it all out EXTREMELY well. I hope she is as waterproof as she looks :)
What was the deal with the floppy-proppies? Why no good? (I haven't tried them)
Are you worried about heat buildup from your f7 chip?
Jodie Hi! I am not worried about the heat, there is a fair air gap inside the printed housing. Also when I run the beta stress test the board is at 25 percent ish. Although that pocket of air is shared by both FC and PDB, hopefully PDB doesn't generate too much additional heat. I figure it's a big piece of copper, if anything it will sponge some of that heat.... (looks around nervously) Ok so the props, I have heard people say the foldables are not as durable on impacts, and If I go into water that could be an issue. Then again they may just fold around the water and work well.. idk, still needs testing : ( Anyway, thanks for your kind comments!!
lol, now I want to see the floppy-proppies running in water. I think the reason they are able to function in the air is it's low resistance, and in the water it would take lots more force to keep the blades extended. Would a mini quad-motor be up to the task?!?
