The goal of this build was to increase flight time as much as possible while still maintaining a good freestyle feel. This build is not really meant to carry an HD camera.
I mostly run this quad on a 1100mah 6s battery which gives roughly 10 minutes of hard freestyle and an AUW of somewhere around 390g. I've also tried a 450mah 4s battery which gives about 4:30 minutes of freestyle and an AUW of just under 250g. The 4s battery has very little power but also very little weight, which makes it great for proximity flying. The 6s battery is my choice because of the better flight time, power, and "throwability" of the quad.
Nice build. I did mine 3". Do you mind sharing the stl file for the vtx/antenna mount?
Sure thing. I designed it specifically to fit a Rush tiny tank with a crossfire nano, but any 16x16 thing should fit. The antenna hole on the back is made to just barely fit a U.F.L connector.

AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
