couldn't find much info out there about this frame so maybe this will help some of you out there.

I won a hive_16 full stack so was on the hunt for a small 2s frame. hard to beat the gnary sub atomic on the looks department though.
this one ticks all the boxes and doesn't look too bad... fingers crossed as it is floating on a boat over to me.

It's arrived! the Hive16 stack makes for an ultra quick build. Plenty of space for the stack in this frame. I removed the gummy m2 stand offs as one was stripped. I replaced it with a dense foam pad and four long m2 bolts to cinch it down.
I really like that this frame is top mounted and has an HD cam mount built into the front.

I dumped the settings from my stack in the gnarly sub atomic into this new stack and bam! nearly ready to go! receiver bound and modes all set up! Just flashed a 48khz SH_40 BLHELI_S firmware onto it (3.5.4 betaflight doesn't do RPM filter but for sure you need 48khz as it removes a lot of noise that this stack is susceptible to) and made sure props were rotating right and I was off!

This little guy flies well! First time out with the DAL Q2035C quad blades too. nice and smooth and quiet. I haven't flown the Gemfan 2035 quad blades in ages but I'm guess they are similar. They are a tiny bit heavier but the plastic feels way more durable than those crispy gemfan 2035s.

Hey Daich. That's a nice looking build. What lipos have tried on this one and which one worked out best for you?

thanks man. I've only given the chnl 550mah 2s lihv 70c packs a go and they've worked well but a bit long. I think the 450mah 2s 80c gnb packs, my favourite 2s, would be good as they will sag less and generally I avoid LiHV. I'm in the middle of moving back to london so I haven't been getting much stick time but will definitely be trying out other packs in time.

AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
