my building shenanigans have constantly been displaced onto the back burner these days (as well as flying!)

should have studied the arms more, looks like the flight controller bolts are part of the structure that secures the arms...ugh.
still, a very light frame for what it is. I'll be hard pressed to keep it under 250g but it will still be a very lightweight build.

the frame uses M2.5 bolts and standoffs. kind of unvconventional although I hear the micro apex does the same.

Thinking after the fact, probably going to a micro apex with 5" arms would have been a better option with similar outcome. The amax kit is very complete and nice but the apex is a better design overall, and a little more costlier. The main reason for going to the F5mini frame was because it can take a whoops sized (25.5x25.5) AIO board which is not very common in this format yet (fpvcycle frames like to do that too but they are not very accessible here in Europe)
But in the end I ended up using a 20x20 stack...oh well.

flight stack is from a 6s geprc cinego which I had in a 4" 6s gecko previously

I'm listing out the stack details below as it was not easy to find.

AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
