Babyhawk II HD 6s

Ever since I built my first 2Fiddy I became obsessed with 6s small quads. I wanted to have light weight quiet builds but leverage some brand new HGLRC 300mah 6s and the GNB 380mah 6s Lipos available. I've been working with @Sub250gFPV on IG to try out his frames and picked up this Babyhawk on a whim. So glad I did. I want to replace the VTX antenna, but other than that, it's been awesome. The recessed flight controller area with a plastic sheild underneath is genius.

I lowered the deck on the build to 20mm. The tricky part was finding standoffs that'd fit. I ended up with a plastic washer, nut to space the naked vista from the top plate. then a 16mm screw runs from top to bottom with I think a 5mm plastic standoff separating the 2 vista boards and an 8mm plastic standoff at the bottom. 8mm screws run up through the bottom plate into the standoffs. To remove the top plate I remove the 3 front top screws (2 front 2 middle front standoffs) and the 2 bottom rear screws. I'm using some semi-generic camera mount 3d prints.

This is flown mostly with the 2Fiddy GNB 6s 380mahs, but it gets a good 4-5 minutes of flight time with the Krato 300mah 6s lipos. with a 550mah 6s Betafpv pack it hit 10 1/2 minutes and could have hit 11 minutes if I didn't get bored and start ripping towards the end (235g AUW). With a 450mah 6s and the insta360 go 2 it's 244.5g.

I've been swapping cams between the nebula pro and the polar nebula starlight vista... whatever the hell it's called. I need a tune badly. Whenever I drop throttle it dips really hard kinda like when you have a failsafe almost. Haven't had time to mess with it because the 2Fiddy distracted me.

Why did you lower the top plate.

shorter standoffs less weight, plus made the naked vista fit easier.

AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
