A friend kept raving about his 3.5" quad, so I decided to give it a try. I did not want to buy the BNF version of this quad because I like to build my own from scratch. Plus, it lets me add some custom touches to it. This frame is very different from the typical layout. You must use a Caddx Vista air unit because it supports the rear of the frame. I also find it very surprising that there is a lot of space to work with and the thick carbon fiber parts makes it feel like a tank. From what I have seen with my friend’s quad, this frame can take a beating. The only complaints I have is the rough edges on the carbon fiber plates and Emax not selling just the frame as a kit. I had to buy the individually replacement parts to complete the frame.

What flight time do you get?

Depending on how hard your fly it. You should get 5 - 8 min of flight time with a 850mah 4s lipo and maybe more if you use just cruise around.

Were you not able to fit the CADDX Vista camera? I know its pretty beefy. Just wasnt sure if you had to go with the Polar Micro because the standoffs werent tall enough or what. I am trying a similar build (same AIO/frame) and I am really hoping the vista can fit.

It should be able to fit any camera. The reason why I used a Polar camera is because of the chip shortage and that was the only camera available.

AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
