Built this from my original 5" Source One by adding 7" arms and Emax Eco II 2807 motors. The build is designed around running a 4S 4200mah li-ion pack to achieve 5-mile round-trip distances at moderate cruising speed.
Frame is using shorter standoffs than stock, and deadcat arms in the rear with normal arms up front. This was originally because I only ordered 2 deadcat arms, but it turns out that the props aren't in view after processing in RealSteady GO, and the normal front arms leave more clean air for the rear props in this configuration.
Running a 4S 4200mah li-ion pack (Molicel 21700 P42A), I get 10-15 minutes of flight time. That allows me to cover 5+ miles on a single pack. The horizontal Crossfire antenna placement isn't ideal, and I do get a significant drop in LQ and dBm at my turnaround point, but have yet to actually failsafe (knock on wood).

AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..

Nice build! Have you tried 6s battery with 1700kv motors?
