We're doing printed canopies now!

Also, I'm revising the 3 inch platform a little for bigger spaces. The frame gets stretched out to 124 mm (from 120 mm) and the body of the frame gets lightened a little to optimize for 3 mm thick carbon. The rationale is that the 2S 115 platform is so good for the small back yard that it just doesn't make sense to cram the 3 inch down into that flight space. Freeing up the footprint for bigger spaces, I pushed the props out a little from the camera and battery to keep the thrust clean. For 1S the 120 will carry on in 2 mm. But this frame will be 3 mm (and probably 4 mm) to better dampen noise from bigger motors spinning faster.

This quad builds up at 47 gm dry weight. Currently we're flying it on the GNB 300 3S. The new 380 will probably be ideal.

AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
