I wanted to try something a bit different than my last two quadcopter builds, and got inspired by some of the builds on here. I don't recall if I started with RC planes or quads, but I recall getting some serious enjoyment of the old Sport Cub S several years ago. Why not build something a little more modern? Why not try a wing?

After a bit of research I settled on the Strix Goblin Nano airframe. It seemed to be a really capable, yet small frame that would really open the doors to a lot of difffernt possibilities. On top of that, I wanted to give GPS navigation and some autonomous flying a try - just for a challenge and a bit of fun. So, it was off to the build bench after collecting the below components.

When the compoents arrived, I was impressed and inspired by the amount of room inside the fuelsage of the Goblin. I had just finished building "Widget" so it seemed like I'd have room to spare for everything I wanted to throw in. First things first, I set about wiring up and connecting all of the components. Flight controller, 12v step-up regulator to VTX, Crossfire RX, Camera, DVR, GPS, Buzzer, etc. The soldering came much more easily

The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
