I live in a Vista nudist colony. I pretty much decase them as soon as I get them. I've crashed in trees, on roofs got caught in the rain, in a tree, and while I've broken a couple of them, it hasn't been too bad. I've found ways to protect the number one weakness which is the UFL connector. The vista generally protects itself from heat. I'm looking for a way to cut off power via a switch but the RealPit doesn't work with the vista sadly.

I love micro quads and the fact that you can fly them almost anywhere much more discreetly than a traditional 5in. I built a whoop course in my backyard and when I had back surgery, I'd lay on the couch and fly it from the livingroom. have my son open the kitchen window and zoom in and out of the house. DJI's range is remarkable. Originally I used the Geprc Thinking p16 but I wanted a more traditional whoop frame, especially because you can't turtle the thinking p16. The iflight a85 was too big, and then they released the a75 which was what I was looking for. But I hated having a battery strap on the bottom so I cut the battery holder off the p16 and zip tied it onto the bottom of the a75. Other changes I'll make eventually are pluggable motors and flight controller. I cut off the ridiculous antenna thing on the back of the canopy and replaced the vtx antenna with a dipole from Newbeedrone. Currently it has tracer, but I'm getting happymodel erls receivers with ceramic antenna to replace tracer on my whoops. It does use the nebula nano, but for indoor and under the canopy of my backyard, it's not bad. If you use the battery holder from the p16 the battery has to be 19mm x 17mm width/heights. My gnb 300mah 3s packs are 53x19x17mm

I also cut down the legs of the canopy since I stripped the vista and don't need as much room. I want to try the Analog canopy however since it's already shorter than the digital one. The original dry weight was 71g. I got it down to 59g. AUW is 84g with the 300mah 3s hv.

AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
