Oh the journey that builds take.
I am a tinkerer through and through. I build more than I fly. By a long shot.
So far this quad has had a comparably direct path, with the only detour so far being a motor swap from the 25mm Imperial 1870kv motors to the 25mm Emerald 1880kv motors. See the LR+GPS SuperG build for details on how that decision was made. Those motors may very well just be another iterative step for this quad, but for now I appreciate what will hopefully be consistency between my two 5 in quads.
This tinkering is going on parallel to the full blown scatter brain chaos that is the cinewhoop builds I have going on. So simplicity is definitely welcome here.
All in all this quad is suppose to be a pretty straight forward build meant for general quadular activities. Hoping to prioritize getting out to film, fly, and chase things over the never ending tinkering Ive become accustomed to during the pandemic.
AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
