After building a few different variations of the Squirt v2 I am surprised to see how far it has evolved. Starting with the original analog Squirt v2 with 1404 motors and full ducts to this newly built slammed HD Squirt with 2205 6s motors. I did not think I would ever use a 6s setup but because of the larger lipos and not being able to use 18650 lithium-ion cells. First, I will need to do some test to see which will be the real winner. Since, I am writing all of this after all my testing, I do not want to say too much yet.

Betaflight Settings:

Thanks to Robert Moss for sharing his Betaflight setting! These PIDs, Rates, and Filters are specifically for Betaflight 4.2.9, on 6s with 2205 2300kv motors. I also noticed that you need have the GoPro mounted on the quad because it will act up without it.

Finially, the setting for the ESC. I am using a BLheli_32 ESC, so it will look different if you are using a BLheli_S ESC. I do have BiDirectional DSHOT turned on too.

Updateds (3D Prints and Props) April 30, 2020

I recently built 3 new Squirts to do various tests. But the most notable finding is the position of the props inside the ducts. Since I had to reprint the ducts to better position the props, I changed the print setting to help reduce the weight too. In the end, I was able to get the Squirt down to 294g (dry).

With the updated ducts and switching to iFlight 3040 props I can get a MAX crusing flight time of 7 minutes. The last 2 video below will show the 7 minute flight time.
