I am following sub250gfpv on Instagram for quite some time and someone is doing a really good job of promoting their frame. So yeah, I ordered the "Carnage" 3.5" frame off of cncdrones/cncmaddness and went for my first 3.5" quad/build. I liked the idea of having a short quad similar to the Diatone GT-R349. Instead of stacking up everything on the bottom plate, the Vista is bolted to the top-plate.

The build went quite good until I realized the new Caddx Polar antenna is somewhat stiff and I wanted the antenna to point out of the back. Since the recommended Singularity LITE from TrueRC wasn't available I went with their OCP antenna instead. Sub250gfpv was kind enough to design a modified mount that holds said antenna. The order of putting top-plate, standoff, screw and antenna together took me like 3 attempts but it worked out eventually.

The motors were out of stock the moment I got ordered them. I am using somewhat cheap aMAX 1507 3600kv motors. In terrms of specs, I should be able to run them on 4S as well. Also flying my GT-R349 on 4S 850mAh. Would be nice to use the same lipos on this one as well.

All in all, this build weighs 160g without a lipo. With 3S 450mAh, I can easily stay below 250g. Regulations in Germany still won't allow me to fly in parks or close to people beacuse this thing will fly faster than the limit of 68 km/h.

How is the frame in 3mm ?
I'm hard on frame so I normally order 2 but I feel this one will be hard to break.

AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
