Thought i'd shrink down the 3" to 112 and shed some weight, with a tiny 20x20x25mm stack and homemade camera mount, some old components some new.. I can upload more pictures of the mount it if needed - its very simple, full adjustable and weighs around 5g with the camera.
AUW with 850mah 4s is 205g
DRY weight is 119g
Not sure how long i'll use it as I'm going to put the same components and layout as this with 20x20 stack on a 130mm frame to run 3.5" props as this only weighs 5-6g more than this 3" but can edge towards 12/13-1 thrust to weight with 3.5" compared to around 10/11-1 with 3", I know thrust to weight isn't everything but it gives an idea .... waiting on frame from armattan for the other build. https://armattanproductions.com/pages/product_details/6517
&Nice experiment with those motors! How does it behave at full-throttle? I recently put some less powerful 1306 4000kv motors on a Minimalist 128 Evo and had some vibration issues at full throttle. Otherwise it flies great.
Hello bud, I still haven't flown it yet but I think it will fly the same if not a bit better than the minimalist 128 build I last did, they're both 3mm frames and I've had no vibration issues, The evo may vibrate due to the hollowed out arms which might flex a little more (depending on the thickness too) but is probably a little lighter
AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..

I love hypercompact builds, great work! Interesting solution for the cam mount with the wraparound. Does it vibrate much? like that?
Thanks! me too! and no it worked out very well at the time, it was clamped tight to the stand offs (no rubber dampening or anything) I was surprised it worked so well myself..
