Ive flown whoops and built a 2" 2s before this and wanted something that flew a little more snappier and efficient. I toyed with the idea of a 2-3s but when i saw people building 3" 1s quads, i wanted one. The specs on the 1202.5 11500kv motors should get >200g thrust with 2.5" props. If my AUW with 2s was 80g, then I'd get a whopping 10:1 thrust ratio. When that power isnt necessary, I can put on 3" props with 1s and should still get 6:1 (500mah 1s, 60g AUW).

Ive so far tested 1s and get 4-5min flights on 500mah. Default BF4.2 tune had bad prob wash and wobble when punching from idle of doing flips/rolls. I used the tune from https://fpvcycle.com/blogs/build-guides-and-discussion/baby-tooth-1s-3 and now it flys excellent.

Ive been using the 3018 props as pressfit and so far so good. Ill use prop screws when using 2s.

Looks great! Did you try it out with 2s yet? Also a flight video would be amazing :-)

Flys amazing on 1s/3" but I'm dealing with a weird death spiral on 2s when i punch the throttle. I can slow fly it in a hover around 13% throttle, but appears to lose it when punching. i tried bf4.3 default tune and still spirals. im wondering if the 1.5mm frame is just too flexible for all the thrust on 2s. ill work on the tune a little more but honestly, its such a blast on 1s with more than enough power.

I do have a similar behaviour on a different frame that definitely is too flexible, but it doesn't have any additional carbon. 1,5mm of carbon actually is quite a lot, i can't imagine this being the reason.

AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
