I really wanted to try a y4 but did not want to commit so i used broken and spare parts.
the frame is a tinawhoop diantone. i chopped the ducts away to basically just hold the motors. I cut the arms off a babytooth frame and drilled some holes to attach to the diatone parts, for the back motors. VTX and RX are taped on... minimal screws / nuts used for testing
three 1204 flywoos (2x(8150kv) 1x(5150kv), one 1103 TMotor since thats what I have available. I was fortunate to be able to fix a dead 1103. It was fully of metal shavings but once those were cleaned out it good as new(ish) :)
This is intended to creep, not haul ass so the camera is pointing down
Flywoo AIO FC that was in my pool, does not report battery voltage anymore
led busted as well so i use some tinyhawk style single color ones on the tail.
Im just using old crappy batteries since i cant tell the voltage.
some various plastic parts from cutup vtx boxes
it flys.. but its more like wipeout xl where the tail slides around and you work with it, my prop selection has a big influence on this.
This was hobbled together to see if it was fun.....v2 (if there is one) ill open up the frame with bigger standoffs and put the electronics inside, replace the fc and rx , match the motors, and match the props.
it does look interesting to me :D
AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
