i decided to disasemble Y4Keeto and build another, cleaner, Y4. The entire frame now has doubled height to fit the new FC.
I got some 1404s for another build at a 30% off so i took those 1303.5's and threw them on this build. xm+ for some range. and a great vtx. I took off the front skid plate under the camera but after a few packs and camera wobbles, I threw it back on
I drilled a plastice adapter meant for a vtx or rx and fit my old trusty diatone nano FC. It's hanging from the top actually. with no vtx / rx in the stack, its very compact. I taped the vtx in the back away from everything. The rx is ziptied inside the side of the frame.
The battery strap layout on the diaton is camera to butt, but i need it spun 90 degrees so I couldnt use the strap.. rubber band to the rescue.
Rx antenna's at 45 degrees but pointing in.. the vtx antenna is sticking out the side to avoid getting eaten.
Its very odd looking 'down' through the camera, but it forces you to slow things down and take in the view :)
2.5m on 3s 450
Tried some interesting prop combos which i didnt think should be able to fly.. .but do :)
ended up with beefy Gemfan D63 (2.5" 5 blade)

I made some upgrades, like a better antenna single color ducts, and a battery strap...
Lets see what 4s can do I said...
Take off was spectacular:) ... then spinout :( , then static :0 Fortunately it crashed near me. I buried it in some dirt to try not to catch the grass on fire but i could see each batterys smoke puff escape through the mound. FC is toast, i need to test the other components to see if they suffered the same fate. They dont look burnt but could easily have gotten fried.

AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
