this is a build for a friend
pretty beastly. this frame is surprisingly tight. originally I bought it for the 45 degree offest 25.5x25.5 FC mount (whoop sized) for a kiss fettec 15a AIO build but eventually that went into a CB3 frame that I drilled out.
Frame's fit and finish was decent and it comes with plenty of hardware.
could use 1 or 2 mm more between camera and stack, otherwise the build was straight forward.
the most painful part was afer buttoning it all up and finding out the xm+ was on accst 2.0
I mucked about for half an hour with betaflight passthrough and tried to flash it with frsky's sport firmware tool but had no success. Eventually I had to remove it and flash it in my external bay on my Jumper T12 (good thing I kept that around) grrrr.
I posted the pin out diagrams as I've found different versions of the HGLRC FC as well as the Diatone Mamba ESC. Both of these are earlier versions. The latest HGLRC F722 Mini doesn't have blackbox memory, shame. And the latest Mamba F25 v2 ESC has the components arranged slightly different but the pinouts seem the same.
All is good now and ready for maiden! This looks to be a fun little ripper but I need to remember to be gentle and stay over grass as it's going to a friend.
Maiden 23 Feb 2022
camera was out of focus. I think I will change it out for a phoenix 2 nano anyway, it'll stick out a little more so there should be less frame in the top corners.
this was my first time with 4.3 (rc3) I love the basic tuning in osd. I kept pushing the slider up. Will need few more packs.
update 2nd March 2022

AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
