The goal of this design was to have a 2S, 2.5" backyard quad, based on my toothpick frame design, that emulates the layout of a typical 5" freestyle quad: top mounted battery, no props in view and under 45g dry weight: the smrf 2.5 was born.

The base plate is 2.5mm thick, the top plate is 1.5mm. The plates are held together by the TPU camera mount in the front and 2x 15mm aluminium spacers in the back. The spacers also hold the TPU mount for the XT30 connector.

You'll need to find some place to cut the carbon and print the TPU camera mount. I do the printing myself and got my carbon cut at https://www.smartshapes.de

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
