The goal was to build a duarble jet relatively light weight Freestyle quad. The AUW is 661grams. The build was not that easy, getting all the electronics inside the Apex frame felt like playing tetris.

Powerd DJI Action 2

I chose the DJI action 2 for its light weight and large FOV, whitch creates an immersive sense of speed. The camera however comes with a few
drawbacks. One of them is the short battery life. I solved this with a custom connector inside the 3d printed mount. It outputs 5V from a little Bec that is connected to Vbat and continuously powers the action 2. This was inspired by daxtasyfpv. With the DJI mimo app I can download the footage directly on to my phone, so I can just leave the cam inside the mount and dont have to take it out everytime the internal storage is full.

3D Prints

The TPU parts were printed on a stock Ender 3 V2, with the exeption of a PEI buildplate for better adhesion. For maximum strenght and to prevent layer separation, I used a flowrate that is 30% higher than that of my PLA settings. I also optimized travels through custom supports.
The actioncam mount uses an ND-filters that doubles as lens protection. For the connector I used regular PLA with pogo pins that are held in by a pressfit.
The antenna holder doubles as a XT-60 mount, whitch creates a clean look.
