Decided to try my hand at 6s.
3D printed frame, Vista bungled in there, what could go wrong.
It does all barely fit, despite Thingiverse saying otherwise. Make sure you clamp down the FC/ESC fairly tight to avoid them hitting each other.
Had to do some trimming around the motors to get them to fit, the Ecos have this large bit that intersects otherwise.
I don't even want to think about how this might come apart in a crash.
Build notes:
This FC with 4.3 needs its loop time and dshot decreasing from their stock 8K/600 to 4K/300. Had high (80%) usage and erratic behaviour and blackbox logs (mostly pitch and pitch Dterm issues) before changing them. Might have also been variable PWM on the ESC but not sure.
Loaded with the "noisy RPM filters" BF4.3 preset for now, hover test OK, fairly cool motors.
AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..

I love that frame design! Would love to hear any updates on durability/tuning!
I fear for your vista, they are so expensive >.< I hope it has a long and use full life
Durability testing is in after a flyaway, its pretty good! Not sure if it was designed that way but the central pillars seem to act as a roll cage, while the arms snapped and twisted with PETG, but motors are OK. Great thing about this design is that 10 minutes of doing bolts, and 4 hours of printing later the frame is as good as new.
