FPVcycle Fouride - 5 inch Freestyle / mid-range cruiser
After having built the 4 inch version of the Fouride, I decided to try this frame as a light 5 inch platform, with high versatility. I love the large deck for battery and action cam mounting.
I went with a naked vista, since this is all I had lying around from a micro build. It definitely seems well enough protected in this frame. However the GPS has issues getting satellites and I am sure its due to the increased noise emission from the unshielded vista.
The build itself was quite simple, there is not a lot of room, but the 35V 1000uF cap can be attached to the side, same as the vifly buzzer.
I run this ona 85% motor output limit with BF 4.3 RC2. The KV of the 23mm short motors is a little high for 5 inch. I think 2800 KV would probably be ideal.
Also did some mid-long range flights on this. It will fly about 8 mins on a 1300 mah 4s at high cruising speed.
I might switch the motors to lower KV versions to get some more efficieny. Or build another all together with the same frame :)
I mounted the AIO in the back in my Fouride, and the Vista in the front. That way you may get less interference in the GPS, not having to route its cable through the vista.
Mounting the AIO in the back also allows the battery lead to come out of the back of the frame instead of the side.
Also, don't you get limited range and interference with that antenna mount? There's an FPVCycle TPU mount for this frame to mount the antenna in the back.
AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..

Lovely build! I also cannot express how proud I am that you used my insta360 mount design from thingiverse :) - it's the first time that I've seen any of my limitted designs out in the wild, so I hope it's holding up well for you!
Happy flying, and again, lovely build!
