Here's my build of a prototype Pyrodrone Freerange 4 inch. I've been working at pyrodrone for a few months now and when i saw this frame on my boss's desk i was intrigued. I love flying my 5 inch freerange and just 5 inch in general so i was interested to know how 4 inches would compare. Conclusion is I've fallen in love :). It's got plenty of punch that lets you just whip it around but at 308g with battery (about half the weight of my 5in freerange with battery) it's much quieter and not as intrusive when flying around people. Which is pretty common living in LA lol. The frame was originally designed to fit the caddx vista in the rear but i personally have fallen in love with HDZero so I had to make an adapter to fit the Race 2 board in. The rear is going to be extended a few mm in the final revision so that the race 2 will fit without this adapter. The 3D printed arm gaurds, skid balls, and xt60 cable guide are my personal design and may or may not be sold for the frame. The front bumper and fpv cam mount are Pyrodrone's design that I modified to fit the hdzero v2 cam and let me hard mount my front bumper instead of soft mounting. I prefer not to soft mount screws that hold the frame together. Let me know what you think :)

here's a DVR video of just messing around having some fun flying. I never realized how bad Youtube destroys the video quality. It looks way better in the goggles.

AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
