I've updated the camera on this build with a Nebula Pro. Also changed the AIO. The new weight is 109g.

I've also added some Gear Aid reflective tape, so it's easier to find it in trees.

There's some flight footage with it on my channel.

I was using Azure 2540 and Gemfan 2540 props, but one of the Gemfans blew up on take off so I stopped using them.
I used the Gemfans quite a bit and really liked them tho. I think this happened because I used prop screws that had some thread lock in them which might have softened the plastic, and because I was screwing them too tight which could have caused them to crack. I've made a post about it on Reddit that has some more insights about it in the comments.

I really like the way this quad flies. I'm planning on reducing its weight, and I think I can get it down to between 70 and 80 grams by changing a few parts:
Naked Vista -9g (~19g>10g)
Nebula Pro Nano -2.5g (6g>3.5g)
Caddx Polar Antenna -2.4g (4g>1.6g)
1206 or 1303.5 Motors -15g (40g>25g)
Phantom (non HD) frame with thinner carbon and lower standoffs -6g (~20g>14g)
Lighter AIO board -2g (~8g>6g)
Frame screws (Shorter; aluminum, titanium)
Prop screws (Reny, nylon, or aluminum)
AIO screws (Reny, aluminum, titanium)

I'm not sure if it will fly better or worse with less weight. The smaller motors would have about 75% of the stator volume of these 1404 motors (464mm³ compared to 615mm³), while the new AUW using 500mAh 3S batteries (~43g) would be around 118g which would be about 77% of the current AUW of 152g.

I'm getting around 3 and a half minutes of flight time when flying freestyle. With just cruising I get a little over 6 min with the R-Line 500mah, and up to 7 min with an R-Line 550mah. but I think it flies better with the 500mah so that's what I prefer to use.

AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

With the release of the DJI FPV Drone cinematic FPV has become a lot more accessible, but you certainly don't want to crash a $750 drone! The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
