The story behind the build

After I build the CrzyX I tried to tune it, but I reached the boarder very soon - in my opinion the arms of this frame are to weak, at least for the higher weight of an digital build.
During a testflight the copter dropped to the ground (soft meadow) from less than 10 m and two arms broke. That was the moment I decided to mod this frame.
And yes, it dropped due to an accidental disarm... :)

Choice of components

The components are more or less identical to the CrzyX. I just used a second set of arms to reinfore the frame added a Mamba interference shielding and changed the capacitors. It was an 2-month odyssey to get the arms from Armattan Productions, but it wasn't their fault and they provided perfect support!

Building

It was more a modification than a new build, but amazingly everything fits together, like it was meant this way.

Flight quality

I changed the props to 4.8" what meets the motor characteristic much better. Now the voltage drops are in a normal range and the copter still has more than enough power. Due to the small weight it feels extremely agile and the accerleration is just sick.
With the rigid frame, I can reduce the filters to a minimum of one single D-term filter with RPM-filtering and a Yaw LPF, pushing the master multiplier to 1.7...and it's not at the edge yet.
