Crux3 to Petrel 120.

I wanted to share that a Petrel 120x frame is an almost perfect replacement for a broken Crux3 frame. At this time, Crux3 frames are impossible to buy due to stocking issues. I searched for a long time for a frame that was the correct dimensions, yet stronger than the original. I did not have to modify any of the electronics to make it work, however I did need to order some longer motor mount screws. This frame is 3mm and the crux3 is 2.5mm. The original screws wont fit. I also upgraded the camera to a RunCam Nano2 that I had leftover from a broken Emax TinyHawk2. I like how the canopy for the Petrel completely protects the camera from direct impacts.

I plan on upgrading the VTX transmitter antenna. The Petrel Canopy has a mount point w/ zip tie that is designed to hold a small lollipop.

nice, i also have a very similar setup with what started out to be a crux3 but ended up being closer to a petrel as i ended ep replacing the frame and flight controller.

Those happymodel flight controllers suck. Mine just quit working.
