Hey dudes,
I wanna share you my 2nd kwad build, which is nearly the same as my 1st one. Unfortunatelly I lost my first copter due to lack of awareness ;- ) but everyone learns from mistakes!
Just a few things about the used components:
Frame:
This one is an AlphaRC Apache5 frame which is a GEPRC KHX5 clone. AlphaRC made really a great job with this frame. The carbon parts are really high quality with rounded edges. I got the frame with a few spare parts and 3D printed dirt protectors for the both sides.
The front cage ist very robust and can hold any size camera (with adapters). I also put the Vifly finder in the front, behind the DJI camera, where is a lot of space.
FC & ESC stack:
In this build i used the Lumenier LUX F7 Ultimate FC with a T-MOTOR Pacer P50A 4IN1 ESC. I like this combi because of a good quality/feature to price ratio.
The Lumenier FC has a switchable VBAT pad to power the CADDX Vista I used as VTX. This has the great benefit of remotely switching OFF the Vista in case of a crash before it overheats during hours of kwad-searching xD.
The ESC has enought power for 6S build and a great quality (and is BLHELI32).
Motors:
T-Motor F60 Pro IV ... run like a fu%$ing turbine
VTX:
Caddx Vista with DJI cam... nothing more to tell about ;-)
Buzzer:
Vifly finder V2...just loud
GPS:
Beitlan BN220 works great so far.
Remote:
TBS Tango 2 with CRSF nano rf and immortal T antenna
The rest is mostly 3D printed --- see link to Thingiverse
About the wiring:
I tried to avoid routing wires above the FC, but it's nearly impossible with this build. Nevertheless the oscillations are fine. I used also a 470uF cap on the power lines, placed near the buzzer. The power lines exclusively go throught the 2 top frame layers which works pretty well.
I used conformal coating for the whole electronics to make it waterproof. Successfully tested this so far during an unintended 10m drop into snow.
You can see the coating on the pics - maybe i was a little bit overenthusiastic with this ;-)
AirbladeUAV has done it again and this time they've brought long range to the 5" class! Based on the popular Transformer Mini, the new Transformer 5" Ultralight adopts a lot of the same design philosophies with larger props and more payload capacity. It can fly upwards of 20 minutes on a 4 cell Li-Ion battery pack and in ideal conditions it's got a range of over 4 to 5 miles. In this guide I'll walk..

The QAV-CINE Freybott is a compact, lightweight cinematic FPV drone that can take a hit and keep going. It's a lot safer to fly indoors and around people. With a naked GoPro or the SMO 4k you can capture some great stabilized footage. In this guide I'll show you..
